Gary Mace
Lead Pastor
It is an honour and privilege to serve God as a lead pastor for Waymaker Church UK. It is my passion to see people come into that intimate relationship with God and find that amazing plan that He has for them. I believe that all people are designed for accomplishment, engineered for success and endowed with seeds of greatness by God. My passion is to build a Church where people can thrive, fulfil their potential, be the overcomers they are designed to be and live the full life that God has planned for them to live.
Jan Mace
Lead Pastor and Safeguarding Lead
I became a Christian in the summer of 2000 after visiting Gary at Hillsong Church, Sydney. On my return to the UK, I quickly became involved at Life Church, Bradford - my home town - where I served on a number of ministry teams and took part in the ALBA - Abundant Life Bible Academy. I have a passion to see the kingdom of God grow in this nation and across the world and for the church to be the influence and leader in society that God intended it to be.

I’ve been a Christian for over 50 years and in 2003 attended Hillsong College Australia for 3 years and then served as the Academic Registrar at another Bible College in London for 15 years. In 2020, I moved back to Nottingham and was delighted to join the Leadership Team of Waymaker Church UK. I am passionate about helping people to become the best version of themselves that God has designed them to be. I’m also passionate about enabling those attending via zoom to be fully part of the church. Lastly, I love administration so I am very happy to also be the church’s Finance Officer.

I was raised on a Leicestershire farm before leaving to serve for some years in the Royal Marines, travelling to many parts of the world. Since leaving the Forces, I did a variety of secular jobs before committing my life to the Lord Jesus and being baptised in an ELIM church in 1984 and then working in the UK and abroad on mission for the Lord, mostly in Eastern Europe but also in many other countries. I graduated from Word of Faith Training and is an Ordained Minister of the Gospel currently assisting with the work at Waymaker Church UK in Nottingham.
I was brought up going to Sunday School and have always had a faith in Christ. I have attended some wonderful Churches both here in Nottingham and in Sheffield but felt God calling me to be part of Waymaker and I am excited to see the church grow as God leads us.
My heart has always been for those who don’t know Jesus and I love talking to people about Him and inviting them to meet Him. Through the ministry of L157, I want to encourage everyone to pray for opportunities to “gossip the gospel” and be confident about sharing their faith and making disciples of all nations.
